Ducati Bournemouth

I would not recommend Ducati Bournemouth because I raised concerns regarding damage to the bike and the engine oil level over a week ago, yet I have not received any response from the Ducati team. Given that I recently purchased the bike, I find the lack of communication disappointing.

The experience has been extremely disappointing.

1. It took 6 days of chasing and escalation to the General Manager before I received the px funds owed to me.

2. The bike was delivered with multiple issues:
* Unable to select 2nd gear
* Biketrac system not functioning, despite being advertised with a working tracker fitted (Bournemouth advised I will be charged for investigation and repair)
* Chain significantly out of specification (33mm freeplay)
* Tyre pressures below specification (1.90 bar)
* Virtually no fuel supplied (the bike ran out of fuel shortly after delivery)
* Peeling decals

3. It took 10 days for the motorcycle to be collected

4. I was instructed by Ducati Bournemouth, by email and phone, to adjust the quickshifter linkage myself and was provided with instructions on how to do so.

5. Ducati Bournemouth have now advised that the quickshifter requires replacement and that I am expected to pay for this repair.

6. I have been asked to pay for a replacement red key for my px bike, despite a red key not being originally supplied with the bike

Currently, 12 days since I took delivery of the motorcycle, the above are still unresolved. If a satisfactory resolution is not reached, I will be rejecting of the motorcycle and will never use Ducati Bournemouth again.

Ducati Bournemouth were fantastic because after some consideration and a test ride, I decided on the Multistrada. Peter in the sales team handled the entire process efficiently, from the initial enquiry to the final paperwork, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. I appreciate the care shown throughout my visit.

These guys were helpful and honest and a pleasure to deal with. Special thanks to Will who was highly professional and kept me posted very well. The whole process went well and they gave a great deal on a beautiful motorcycle along with a very fair trade in on my old one.
